LINCOLN, Neb. (KGFW) — Nebraska reported 971 COVID-19 hospital patients Monday. Statewide capacity is about 72% full. COVID patients account for 23.4% of the 14-day average of hospital beds. A threshold of 25% triggers the strictest Directed Health Measures.

1,860 new cases were reported yesterday. Nebraska had been experienced declining news daily case since hitting a record high of more than 3,400 Nov. 16. The State’s current positivity rate has also dropped – nearly three percentage points – to 14.5%.

Nebraska reported one of the lowest numbers of new virus cases this month on Sunday with 1,032. That was less than half of the seven-day rolling average of daily new cases in the state, which was 2,313.57.
