The Nebraska baseball team is now ranked by D1Baseball (#22), Baseball America (#24) and Perfect Game (#19). It is the first time this season the Huskers have been ranked by D1 Baseball or Baseball America, while they have continued to climb in the Perfect Game rankings since entering that poll on April 12th. Leading Indiana and Michigan by a game-and-a-half for first place in the Big Ten standings, the Huskers are 20-7 on the season and 14-6 away from Lincoln. The Huskers return to Hawks Field this weekend for a three-game series against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. The series opener is scheduled for Friday night at 6:30.

Nebraska is ranked 6th in the final AVCA Top-25 Poll of the season. Kentucky, the national champion, is No. 1, followed by Texas, Wisconsin, Washington and Florida. Purdue ends the season at No. 7. Minnesota falls from 3 to 9 after losing in the regional semifinals. Ohio St is No. 10, while Penn St is No. 13.

The Nebraska football team will hold their 14th practice of the spring tomorrow morning. The Spring Game is this Saturday, kickoff will be at 1:00. Mobile tickets for the Spring Game are still available at Huskers.com/tickets.

Jaden Hamm, a 2023 tight end from Kansas with a four-star rating, is set for his second trip to Lincoln in three weeks Saturday. The 6-foot-6 and 215-pound prospect already has offers from Kansas, Kansas State, Penn State and Iowa State.

The NFL Draft gets underway Thursday in Cleveland, Ohio. Several formers Huskers are hoping to hear their names called… they include Dicaprio Bootle, Matt Farniok, Jack Stoll, Dedrick Mills and Brenden Jaimes.
