Updated health guidelines will allow up to 6,100 Husker baseball fans to attend this weekend’s games against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Under the latest Directed Health Measure from the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department, up to 75 percent of capacity will now be allowed at Hawks Field. Game one of the Huskers’ three-game series with the Scarlet Knights is scheduled for Friday night at 6:30.
The Nebraska football team is holding their 14th practice of the spring this morning. This will be their final tune-up before this Saturday’s Red/White Spring Game. Kickoff will be at 1:00. Mobile tickets for the Spring Game are still available at Huskers.com/tickets.
During his regularly scheduled appearance on the Husker Sports Network, Nebraska Athletics Director Bill Moos said that even though Nebraska might have the nation’s toughest schedule, eight or nine wins is a “realistic expectation” this season.
The NFL Draft gets underway tomorrow in Cleveland, Ohio. Several formers Huskers are hoping to hear their names called… they include Dicaprio Bootle, Matt Farniok, Jack Stoll, Dedrick Mills and Brenden Jaimes.
After a delay due to the pandemic, groundbreaking on Nebraska’s $155 million football facility will take place Friday afternoon at 3:30. Nebraska is expecting the project to be completed in June or July of 2023.
