The Nebraska Football team is headed across the Atlantic Ocean in 2022. The University on Thursday announced a planned trip to Dublin, Ireland for a game against the Northwestern Wildcats on Aug. 27th of 2022. Nebraska was originally scheduled to travel to Ireland to open the 2021 season against Illinois, but due to logistical challenges surrounding COVID-19 that game was moved to Champaign. This will be Nebraska’s first game outside of the United States since the Huskers took on Kansas State in the 1992 Coca-Cola Bowl in Tokyo, Japan. Nebraska was originally scheduled to play at Northwestern on Oct. 8, 2022.

The Nebraska baseball team is playing their final road games of the season this weekend. The Huskers will be in Bloomington, Indiana for pod play games against the 25th-ranked Hoosiers and Ohio State. Currently in 1st place in the Big Ten standings, Nebraska has gone 1-1 against both the Hoosiers and Buckeyes. The Huskers played Ohio State on week two of the season in Minneapolis at U.S. Bank Stadium and saw the Hoosiers twice in Piscataway two weeks ago at the Rutgers Pod. This weekend’s series opens up tonight with a game against the Hoosiers at 7:00. The Huskers will play two games on Saturday. They face the Buckeyes at Noon, and the Hoosiers at 5:30. The four-game weekend wraps up Sunday with a game against the Buckeyes at Noon.

Two Nebraska softball players were honored Thursday. Senior outfielder Tristen Edwards and junior pitcher/utility player Courtney Wallace were both named to the All-Midwest Region Second Team, by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
