NELIGH, Neb. (KGFW) – Three people died in a Friday afternoon crash in Neligh.
The State Patrol says it happened about 1pm at the junction of Highways 14 and 275.
Troopers believe a southbound semi failed to stop at the intersection and collided with a westbound Dodge Journey.
Both vehicles continued southbound into a residential area, striking an unoccupied parked SUV.
The two passenger vehicles also struck and caused minor damage to a home.
The semi rolled onto its side, spilling its load of pelletized lime.
The driver of the Journey, 74-year-old Geraldine Elsberry, and 72-year-old passenger, Norman Elsberry, of Orchard, and the 31-year-old semi driver, Shane Ernest, of Dalton, all died at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
