The Huskers’ Big Red Blitz is today with 10 groups of coaches and athletic staff criss-crossing the state of Nebraska. Capacity is limited at each event, and fans will be admitted free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.
Head Football Coach Scott Frost, Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach Nate Loenser and Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development Ben Murray will be at the Younes Conference Center South in Kearney this afternoon at 2:30. The stop will be emceed by the voice of the Huskers Greg Sharpe.
A group that includes Men’s Basketball Head Coach Fred Hoiberg, Assistant Football Coach Travis Fisher and Senior Deputy Athletic Director John Johnson will be making a noon appearance at Grand Island’s Bosselman Conference Center, and a 4:00 stop at the Lochland Country Club in Hastings. Kent Pavelka, Huskers Radio Network Men’s Basketball Play-by-Play will be the emcee.
Assistant Football Coach Sean Beckton and Men’s Basketball Director of Player Development Buzzy Caruthers will be at the Nautical Rose at Johnson Lake Wednesday at noon, and JB Sport’s Bar and Grill in Holdrege at 4:00.
Assistant Football Coach Ryan Held, Football Head Strength Coach Zach Duval and Senior Offensive Analyst Ron Brown will be at the Loup City Community Center at noon, and Kinkaider Brewing in Broken Bow at 4:30.
Hastings College men’s soccer coach, Tim Bohnenkamp has informed the Athletic Department of his resignation. The Broncos compiled a record of 48-10-4 in his three years as head coach. A national search will start immediately to find a replacement.
