Nebraska guard Dalano Banton is staying in the 2021 NBA Draft and will forgo his remaining college eligibility. Banton announced his intentions on Friday. Underclassmen had until July 7th to announce their intentions to stay in the draft or return to college for the upcoming season. The 6-foot-9 guard from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, played in all 27 games, and started in 22 for the Huskers last season. The 2021 NBA Draft is set for Thursday, July 29th.

– James Monds, the legacy prospect at cornerback pursued by Nebraska, has committed to Indiana. The 5-foot-10, 177 pound, three star prospect, made his decision public on Sunday. According to the industry-generated 247Sports’ Composite, Monds is the nation’s 67th best cornerback in the class of 2022. His uncle, Wonder, played defensive back for the Huskers in the 1970s.
– Omaha Central’s Deshawn Woods, a four star prospect and the No. 1-ranked football recruit in Nebraska for the class of 2022, announced his commitment to Missouri on Saturday. According to Rivals rankings, the 6-foot-5, 295 pound Woods is the 19th best offensive tackle prospect in the nation. He chose Missouri over offers from; Nebraska, Arizona State, Notre Dame, LSU, Miami, Florida, Texas A&M and others.
