Memorial Stadium will officially be at 100% capacity for the upcoming 2021 season. The University made that announcement yesterday. Nebraska’s nation leading sellout streak, which currently stands at 375 straight games, was put on pause during the 2020 season. The Huskers’ last home game at full capacity was a 27-24 loss to Iowa on Nov. 29, 2019. With the sellout streak in mind, Nebraska is now offering three-game home ticket packages for $195, with only the Ohio State game excluded. Games available in the Mini Plan include matchups against Fordham (Sept. 4th), Buffalo (Sept. 11th), Northwestern (Oct. 2nd), Michigan (Oct. 9th), Purdue (Oct. 30th) and Iowa (Nov. 26th).
JoJo Domann is ranked 43rd in the list of top players in the country by Pro Football Focus. Domann led Nebraska with 58 tackles last season in eight games, and added five pass breakups and two forced fumbles. Earlier this summer, Domann was included on the Lott IMPACT Trophy watch list for the coming season. That award is given annually to the country’s most versatile defender.
In NIL news; Nebraska QB Adrian Martinez is among 14 college athletes to sign a national endorsement deal with Degree deodorant. He will be part of their #BreakingLimits campaign in which individuals share how they’ve overcome personal and societal challenges and encourage others to break their own limits.
The seven-time defending Big East champion Creighton Volleyball team announced their Fall schedule on Wednesday. The schedule includes 18 conference, and 13 non-conference matchups. Highlights include a trip to Lexington, Kentucky, for the Bluegrass Battle, and a chance to face the defending national champions Kentucky (Sept. 4th). Creighton’s first home match of the regular-season is Sept. 8th when they welcome Nebraska to CHI Health Center Omaha. A record 14,022 fans attended the last time the teams squared off in Omaha.
