Husker defensive coordinator Erik Chinander met with members of the media yesterday following the team’s 10th practice of the fall, When asked about the depth chart, Chinander said right now their trying to find the “next man up”. The Huskers open the season at Illinois Saturday, August 28th, kickoff will be at noon.
The Nebraska volleyball team will play on national TV 15 times this season. 14 matches will be aired on the Big Ten Network and another on ESPNU. Eight of Nebraska’s 18 home matches will be televised on BTN and streamed through its digital extension on the FOX Sports app. The Oct. 13th match against Indiana will be seen on ESPNU and the ESPN app. Six road matches — at Northwestern, Penn State, Minnesota, Illinois, Ohio State and Wisconsin — also will be carried on BTN. The Huskers will hold their annual Red-White Scrimmage at the Devaney, Saturday, August 21st. That will be their first match in front of their home fans since the 2019 season. The Huskers open the season at their own Invitational, Aug. 27-28, at the Devaney Center.
