Husker head coach Scott Frost made an appearance on the Husker Radio Network last night here on KGFW. Although he couldn’t comment on the ongoing NCAA investigation, he did touch on several other topics. Frost said the depth chart is set, but he’s not ready to formally announce the starters for their season opener at Illinois. He said the team captains, and the Blackshirts, will both be announced very soon. He also added that the player led Unity Council has returned. And finally, Frost confirmed that Nebraska will wear its alternate uniforms for the Sept. 11th home game against Buffalo.

Husker quarterback Adrian Martinez was named to the 2021 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award watch list yesterday. The Award recognizes the top senior or upperclassman quarterback set to graduate with their class. Named to the watch list for a second straight year, Martinez enters the 2021 season with 13 school records, including NU’s career record for games with at least 400 yards of total offense (five). He will look to become NU’s second Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award winner, joining 1995 honoree Tommie Frazier.
