HUSKERS SPECIAL TEAMS FALTER IN LOSS TO ILLINOIS

The Huskers offense outgained the Illinois offense, the defense had key plays throughout the contest, but the Nebraska special teams showed little improvement from years prior in the loss in Champaign on Saturday.

Head Coach Scott Frost adds it’s the same song and dance as before….

The Huskers look to even their record in their home opener this weekend against Fordham.

HUSKERS DEFENSE NOT PREPARED FOR NEW LOOK ILLINOIS

The Blackshirts could not get the stops when it mattered as Nebraska fell to the Fighting Illini on Saturday.

The Huskers outgained Illinois but lost the turnover battle – as the only Husker takeaway was nullified by a critical roughing the passer penalty. Nebraska returns home on Saturday against Fordham.
