MICHIGAN STATE WANTING TO AVOID SEA OF RED

Michigan State is off to a surprisingly hot start as they are 3-0 and No. 20 in the nation. The Spartans have their first big home game this week as they host Nebraska under the lights.

Head coach Mel Tucker does not want to see any more Husker red than the allotted tickets the Huskers asked for, which is around 2,500.

Husker fans took that as a challenge on social media. Tucker was the previous head coach at Colorado when Nebraska faithful overtook Colorado fans in Folsom Field.

LUBICK – CONFIDENT IN RUNNING BACKS

The Nebraska backfield has had a rotating door of running backs so far this season: freshman Gabe Ervin started the season opener, transfer Markese Stepp rushed for 100 yards against Fordham, Rahim Johnson and Sevion Morrison both saw significant carries and snaps against Oklahoma, and Jaquez Yant shined in the Spring Game.

CHINANDER – BLACKSHIRTS MUST CLEAN UP TACKLING

After Tuesday’s practice, Defensive Coordinator Erik Chinander spoke with the media. Chinander was happy with the Blackshirts tackling efforts, but felt there’s still work to do…
