TOM OSBORNE EXCLUSIVE MERCHANDISE

The University of Nebraska Athletics Department and its trademark licensing agency, CLC, have partnered to develop and launch TWO55, an exclusive new merchandise collection inspired by legendary Nebraska coach Tom Osborne.

The TWO55 Collection, which derives its name from the coach, Thomas William Osborne, and his record of 255 wins, is designed to connect style with Nebraska pride in a specially curated fashion collection that can be worn anywhere. TWO55 includes merchandise from top Nebraska licensees, including adidas, Cutter & Buck, Peter Millar, and Game Day Couture, among others.

The TWO55 Collection launches this weekend with several activities around the Nebraska vs. Northwestern football game. TWO55 merchandise will also be available at top Nebraska retailers, including Best of Big Red, the University Bookstore, Fanatics’ online and in-venue Huskers Shops, Husker Hounds, and Scheels.

 

STORM’S BRINDLEY ANNOUNCES COMMITMENT TO MICHIGAN

The Tri-City Storm forward Gavin Brindley has announced a commitment to play collegiate hockey in the future at the University of Michigan. 

Brindley is currently in his second season with the Storm and scored two goals in Tri-City’s season-opening 3-2 overtime win over the Dubuque Fighting Saints at the USHL Fall Classic.

FROST – QUARTERBACKS PREPARED FOR WET CONDITIONS

Rain is expected in the early parts of Saturday as Northwestern and Nebraska prepare for their matchup in Memorial Stadium.

The Northwestern defense caused many headaches for the Huskers last season in Evansville, and the Wildcats would like to play spoiler to Nebraska’s homecoming contest this Saturday.

Last year’s contest featured both Adrian Martinez and Luke McCaffery at quarterback, with the final drive ending inside the Northwestern red zone as time expired. 

 

FROST – CONFIDENCE IN TEAM, NO HANGOVER AFTER SPARTY

Head Coach Scott Frost was asked if his team may face a hangover after two back-to-back Top 25 matchups with Michigan State and Oklahoma on the road.

BEN STILLE NAMED TO WILLIAM V. CAMPBELL AWARD SEMIFINALIST

Nebraska defensive lineman Ben Stille was announced Wednesday as a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, awarded each year by the National Football Foundation to the nation’s top football scholar-athlete.

It is the second consecutive year Stille has been Nebraska’s nominee for the award. The NFF on Oct. 27 will announce 12 to 14 finalists, each of whom will receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship. The winner will be unveiled in Las Vegas on Dec. 7, and his scholarship will be boosted to $25,000.

 

HASTINGS COLLEGE ATHLETICS SHARES BIG WINS

The Hastings College Broncos celebrated key victories yesterday as the Bronco Volleyball program downed #10 College of St. Mary’s after trailing 2-0 and rallying to win 3-2. Meanwhile, the Men’s Soccer team downed #22 Morningside in overtime 3-2, and the Women’s soccer team had a draw against Morningside 1-1. 

 

UNK FOOTBALL – CHANGING TO A WINNING MENTALITY

The Rise is very real for the UNK Football team under Head Coach Josh Lynn. After taking over the reigns of the team in 2017, Lynn has guided the Lopers to an improved record in every season since. Now, the Lopers are ranked No. 12 and undefeated at 4-0.

UNK FOOTBALL – LYNN AND COACHES BELIEVE IN TEAM

Head Coach Josh Lynn has created a new wave of success at UNK, as the Lopers are at their highest rating since the 2011 postseason at No. 12 heading into a matchup with Fort Hays State on Saturday.

HUSKER BASEBALL RECRUITING CLASS NAMED TO TOP 20

The Nebraska baseball program received more recognition for its 2021 recruiting class this week, as NU was ranked 20th nationally by Perfect Game and 36th by Collegiate Baseball.

Nebraska is the only Big Ten program included in the top 25 of the Perfect Game list. It marks the Huskers’ second inclusion in Perfect Game’s top 25, joining the 2014 class, which was 25th.

 

HUSKER VOLLEYBALL PREPARES FOR BIG TEN WEEKEND

The No. 12 Nebraska volleyball team continues its three-match home stand with Michigan this Friday at 6 p.m. at the Devaney Center. The match will be televised on Big Ten Network.

Nebraska squares off with Michigan State on Sunday, Oct. 3, with first serve set for 3 p.m. at the Devaney Center. The match will be televised on Big Ten Network.
