The Kearney Area Concerned Citizens will be holding another amazing year of providing Thanksgiving meals to those across the area. Whether with family or alone, meals will be free of charge for anyone who wants or needs a hot meal for the holiday season. This will be their 36th annual Thanksgiving Dinner.

However, due to Covid-19 in house meals will not be possible this year.  Meals will be served by home delivery or pickup at the Old Town Hall, formally known as the Knights of Columbus Hall, at 1900 Central.

For pickup, there will be a designated drive through on the east side in front of the building where orders will taken and meals will be brought out . Those who’d like to go inside for in-person pickup, should park their vehicle on the east side of Central Ave between 19th and South R.R. street and bring a box. Mask are required.

For delivery to homes, call 308-237-4255 on Wednesday Nov.24 or Thursday Nov. 25 to place an order so meals can be delivered Thanksgiving day. Leave a message if someone is unavailable to take order, and someone will call back.

Meals will be prepared Wednesday Nov. 24 and Thanksgiving Day, all day from 11am to 3pm. If anyone is interested in helping with preparation and volunteering time for dinners call 308-233-7774 or call Mark Curry at 308- 233-7848. Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated.
