The City of Kearney Utilities Department announces a water main repair will take place in the southbound lane of E Avenue between 24th Street and 23rd Street starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, December 27, 2021.
The work will impact the southbound traffic on E Avenue by detouring traffic west to D Avenue.
The roadway will be reopened completely by 4 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021, weather and construction permitting.
Motorists are asked to use caution in the area and to watch for construction workers and equipment. If an alternate route is possible, we recommend that motorists use the alternate route.
