The City of Kearney Offices, Kearney Public Library and Peterson Senior Activity Center(PSAC) will be closed on Monday, January 17, 2022, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. City Offices, the Library and PSAC will reopen on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

The City of Kearney, Sanitation Division, announces the following changes will be in effect for the refuse collection system and the Kearney Area Solid Waste Agency Landfill, due to the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday on Monday, January 17, 2022.
Residential Collection:
• Trash collection will be delayed one day, except Friday’s collection, which will remain
on schedule.
• Recycling will be collected on schedule.
** Please have the container at the curb by 7:00 a.m. for collection.
Commercial Collection:
• Trash collection scheduled for Monday will be collected Tuesday, January 18.
• Recycling collection scheduled for Friday, January 21 will remain on schedule.
Closings:
• The Kearney Area Recycling Center will be closed on Monday.
• The Solid Waste Agency Landfill will close at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 17.
