Kearney Police have been attempting to locate the residents of 823 West 23rd identified as: Joshua J. Morris, 18, of Kearney and Mariah C. Chamberlin, 19, of Kearney.
Tuesday (January 25, 2022), both Morris and Chamberlin were located and arrested in Grand Island by the Grand Island Police Department for outstanding Buffalo County warrants in connection to this investigation.
This is still an ongoing investigation, and police are still searching for and attempting to identify a third male subject who was inside of the residence at the time of the shooting. Once again, the investigation indicates this was an isolated incident and not a random shooting. Additional information will be distributed to the public as available.
