SCOTT FROST SPORTS NIGHTLY COMMENTS:

FROST – STILL WORK TO BE DONE AFTER SPRING:

Head Coach of Nebraska Football Scott Frost spoke on Sports Nightly Monday to wrap up the Spring Football season and said he was happy with the overall body work put in by his team in the spring sessions…

The Huskers are aiming for their first winning season since 2016.

FROST – MUCH DIFFERENT SPRING THAN PRIOR YEARS

Head Coach Scott Frost spoke on Sports Nightly Monday regarding the conclusion of spring practices for the Huskers. Frost added that this spring felt a lot different than years prior while he’s been in Lincoln…

The Huskers had an overhaul of offensive coaching changes and a new wave of transfer additions to bolster a roster that finished 3-8 last season.

FROST – NOT ALL NEGATIVES WITH INJURIES:

Head Coach Scott Frost spoke on Sports Nightly Monday and was asked about the injuries his team had to overcome in the spring sessions; saying that not everything with injuries was negative…

There were significant injuries on the defensive line and tight end spots where reserve and freshman players saw significant time and snaps during the Red-White Spring Game.

KEARNEY BASEBALL BATTLES BELLEVUE EAST:

The Kearney High Baseball team (13-7) heads back to Memorial Field for the first time since last Monday as the Bearcats take on Bellevue East (11-7).

Pregame on KGFW begins at 3:50 PM with first pitch set for 4 PM.

HUSKER BASEBALL TAKES ON K-STATE FOR LINCOLN REMATCH:

Nebraska hosts a pair of non-conference foes in midweek games this week, as the Huskers are set for a rematch with Kansas State on Tuesday and Omaha on Wednesday at Hawks Field.

First pitch tonight between the Huskers and Wildcats is set for 6:35 p.m.

K-State comes into Tuesday night’s game with a 21-18 overall record and 3-9 mark in Big 12 play after winning two of three games in a non-conference series with UC Irvine last weekend.

Nebraska leads the all-time series over Kansas State, 170-117.

In their last meeting earlier this season, the Wildcats posted a 6-4 win over the Huskers on March 9 in Manhattan.
