Kearney Volunteer Fire Department were called to an early morning fire at Deterdings on the corner of 22nd and 2nd Ave. According to owner Doug Deterding the blaze may have started with a dehumidifier in the basement of the building. The fire melted a PVC water pipe that helped extinguished the blaze. The fire is being investigated by the State Fire Marshall and KVFD.
