The City of Kearney, in partnership with the Community Redevelopment Authority and Downtown Improvement Board, is proud to announce the awards of the 2022 Downtown Rehabilitation Grant Program for nine projects.
This annual grant program is competitive and was designed to encourage renovation and preservation efforts for downtown buildings.
Property owners were able to request funds to address various improvements, including but not limited to façade improvements, roof and brick repairs, historic window replacement, and more.
2022 projects receiving funds include:
– $5,000 to Divas at Kearney Floral for repair façade damage.
– $20,000 to Smart Yield Inc. & Ray Brown & Associates for masonry and façade improvements.
– $20,000 to Olivia’s Salon for brick tuck-pointing and historic window/door replacement.
– $5,000 to Printz Properties at 2206 Central Avenue for façade improvements.
– $15,000 to Fanatics to make façade and ADA improvements and replace historic windows.
– $15,000 to Fanatics to make façade, replace historic windows, and make electrical upgrades.
– $1,750 to Heath Smallcomb (property owner) at 15 W. 23rd Street for EIFS repairs.
– $5,000 to Swanson Murray Law, LLC for brick tuck-pointing.
– $20,000 to SevenOne Investments, LLC for historic window replacement.
