A ban on wild peacocks will be on the agenda for Grand Island City Council come next month.
Citizens of the city have voiced comments about the birds wandering about causing property damage, and overall just being rather noisy.
Due to the birds not being against city code to have around, the Central Nebraska Humane Society doesn’t have the authority or ability to catch the birds either, which is why the ban is on the ballot.
