Red Willow Firefighters and mutual aid are still continuing to battle two wildfires. Work will continue on the mile marker 26 fire, which has already burned over 700 acres. The smaller fire Road 383, has burned over 35 acres.
A Grand Island Man, 18-year-old Israel Trautman, accused of threatening girls of releasing sexual explicit photos if they didn’t send more, is facing additional charges. Trautman faces a total of 21 charges. Records say 12 victims between ages 12 and 17 are involved, however sexually explicit content was found from 27 victims.
An Alda man accused of eight thefts of pivot wire in Hall County was arrested in Kearney Tuesday. Police arrested 56-year-old Charles Swisher Jr., who faces multiple counts of theft by unlawful taking and criminal mischief.
Two people were arrested following an search that recovered $1.6 million dollars of methamphetamines. A K-9 led search with the Lancaster County Criminal Inter-diction Unit reveled 60 one-pound vacuum sealed packages of methamphetamines, 2.16 pounds of heroin, and 0.58 pounds of Fentanyl.
