Troopers arrested two people after a wrong way pursuit near North Platte on I-80 Friday.
The Nebraska State Patrol was notified just before midnight Friday that the North Platte police was in pursuit of a vehicle that fled from a disturbance at the Flying J Truck Stop in North Platte.
Troopers joined the pursuit after being requested for assistance.
The suspect vehicle was driving eastbound and later turned around and began traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-80. A trooper was able to cross into the eastbound lanes and execute a successful tactical stop.
Driver 46-year-old Shawn Woods of Denver, Colorado was arrest for willful reckless driving, second degree assault, resisting arrest using a deadly weapon, numerous traffic violations, and an outstanding warrant. The passenger, 41-year-old Alandra Telles of Fort Collins, Colorado was arrested in relation to the prior disturbance..
