CHI Good Samaritan’s newly finished enclosed ambulance bay had it’s first transport Monday July 19th.
Completion of the $1.1 million project marks the final phase of the new Dr. Kenton L. Shaffer Emergency Care Center that opened in September 2021. The site built upon the hospitals former open air canopy.
The new enclosed space will provide direct access to the Emergency department for EMS personnel and patients arriving to the hospital by ambulance.
As well as provided protection from the elements, feature and decontamination room, and more patient privacy.
