The 2022 Senior Games begin today with check-in and events starting tomorrow Aug. 4 through Aug. 7th.
A total of 449 participants this year are representing 24 states: Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, West Virginia, Virginia, and New Hampshire.
Events will be held throughout the week in various places of the Kearney community.
The Nebraska Senior Games have been conducted in Kearney since 1989. The event is specifically for people 50 years of age and older. The Games are “open,” meaning people from out of state may compete.
Every other year is a qualifying year for advancement to the National Senior games; this year is a qualifying year for
