Grand Island Police arrested two teens following a vehicle theft.
A 2017 Chevy Camaro was reported stolen and spotted Wednesday morning on south locust.
A traffic stop was conducted, and officers made contact with 16-year-old girl who admitted to the theft.
A second person, 18-year-old Nyayik Kong approached the scene and told the teen not to comply.
Kong was identified as a juvenile runway from Douglas county.
Kong was arrested for obstructing police and on juvenile detention orders. The 16-year-old was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle valued at more than $5,000, and assaulting an officer.
