Governor Pete Ricketts has announced MetalQuest and 21st Century Equipment as the winners of the Developing Youth Talent Initiative grants.

Launched by Ricketts in 2015, the DYTI grants introduces middle school students to careers in manufacturing, IT, engineering and more.

Since it’s beginning, DYTI grants have reached 24,500 students across 66 school districts, with the winners of this years grant set to impact nearly 4,000 students.

With the $125,000 award, MetalQuest will purchase a construction system to introduce students to robotics automation and coding.

21st Century Equipment will assemble a mobile learning lab, which will serve students at 19 schools throughout the panhandle.
