Troopers with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office arrested a St. Paul man following an investigation into reported threats.
The Nebraska State Patrol reported, at 4pm Tuesday they received information about Robert Jaeger, 43, being an imminent threat to a former girlfriend. The girlfriend was moved to a safe location after NSP made contact.
Later that evening at 7pm, Jaeger was spotted in a field south of the Interstate 80 interchange at Aurora, possessing multiple firearms.
Jaeger attempted to leave in his pickup, but a trooper preformed a tactical vehicle intervention to stop the pickup.
Jaeger was then taken into custody, and troopers found multiple firearms, as well as methamphetamine and controlled substance pills.
Jaeger was arrested for terroristic threats, violating a protection order, possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm during a drug violation.
He was lodged in Hamilton County Jail.
