Kearney police arrested one person after a Wednesday assault resulted in another person with serious injury.
At 12:34 am Wednesday, KPD responded to a report about an injured man near The Church Key Bar.
The victim was found on their back with large amount of blood coming from their head and transported to a Kearney hospital, then later to Lincoln.
Witnesses identified 53-year-old Tommy Parks as the suspect.
Witnesses say Parks had punched the victim in the face, causing them to fall and hit their head on the concrete.
Parks was arrested and charged with felony first-degree assault. Parks is lodged in Buffalo County Jail.
