The Kearney Police Department has announced its September Priority Traffic Enforcement Areas.
Areas of focus will be:
1) W 48th St (2nd Ave –17th Ave)
2) N Ave (25th St –56th St)
3) 5th Ave (11th St –S Railroad St)
The objective of the programs is to educate citizens of lawful and safe driving habits, gain voluntary compliance from the public through aggressive traffic enforcement practices, and reduce the number of vehicle collisions at high traffic volume intersections and roadways.
While officers may enforce any observed violations, the targeted violations will be speed enforcement, traffic signal violation, improper wide turns, and other observed traffic violations.
