The City of Kearney Public Works Department and Wilke Contracting Corp. would like to inform the public that both directions of traffic on the 2nd Avenue overpass will be switched from the outside lanes to the inside lanes on Friday, September 23, 2022 weather permitting.
Oversized and wide loads are required to use an alternate route.
If possible, citizens are highly encouraged to use an alternate route during their daily commute.
Drivers should use extreme caution, as during the course of construction lane closures will be shifted from inside lanes to outside lanes.
During construction, traffic delays are likely.
Please slow down, stay off mobile devices, and stay alert as to provide the safest environment possible for commuters and the construction crew working onsite.
