Multiple people were arrested after a short standoff in Grand Island. On Wednesday, GIPD responded to a residence for a report of smoke coming from the back of the home.
While investigating the report, officers observed Alejandro Loforte-Escalona, 24, through the home window, who was wanted on six warrants in Hall County.
The owner of the home, Dulce Renteria denied Escalona was in the home and refused to allow officers inside.
A search warrant was obtained for the home and the Grand Island Tactical Response Team forced their way into the residence.
Loforte-Escalona was arrested for the six warrants and obstruction of police. Renteria was arrested for obstruction, resisting arrest, and aiding consummation of a felony.
