The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services has opened two grant programs funded by ARPA funds for Rural EMS services in the state.
The first grant is a $5 million EMS Equipment grant intended to provide funding for one-time purchases of medical equipment.
The second is a $20 million Rural Ambulance Replacements grant intended to assist EMS across Nebraska and replace aging ambulance fleets.
Applications are open now through Nov 30.
DHHS will announce recipients in December.
DHHS will host two virtual townhalls to discuss the grants. The first townhall will be hosted via zoom on October 17 at 6:30 pm CST.
