Kearney Police are investigating an ATM burglary.
On October 25th, shortly before 7 am, Kearney Police were dispatched to the 200th block of 48th for an abandoned vehicle report. Officers found a truck upon arriving on the scene, which had been reported as stolen.
Evidence in and around the vehicle led officers to search the area for possible property damage. Soon after searching, a KPD officer noticed the Heartland Bank ATM on 56th Street had been severely damaged.
An unknown amount of money had been stolen from the machine.
Investigation revealed a vehicle had been used to pull the front panel off the ATM, allowing access to the money inside.
