Drinking and speed were factors in a crash in early October that resulted in the deaths of all 6 people in the vehicle, Lincoln police say.

The crash happened October 2nd when 26-year-old Johnathon Kurth careened off Randolph street in Lincoln and struck a tree in the early hours of the morning.

All 6 passengers passed away as a result. Police say Kurth had a blood alcohol content of .211, and data from the vehicle’s airbag module showed the car moving at speeds upwards of 100 miles per hour before the crash.

Police were notified about the accident from an iPhone indicating the owner was in an accident and not responding to their phone.
