NSP Troopers are conducting special enforcement efforts in Western Nebraska.
In October, troopers in Troop E, focused on excessive speeding in Kimball County. During the operation more than 200 citations or warnings were given.
This month, troopers in Troop D, which is headquartered in North Platte, are performing patrols in and around construction zones. Troopers have observed an increase in speeding near construction zones, which has lead to this specific operation.
Troop D’s effort is made possible thanks to a grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
