The Kearney Sanitation division has announced changes for the refuse collection system and Kearney Area Solid Waste Agency Landfill due to the Thanksgiving holiday coming up.
For residential collection, trash normally collected on Thursday and Friday will be picked up Friday, November 25th. Recycling collected on the 4th Thursday and Friday of the month will also be collected on the 25th.
For Commercial Collection, trash normally picked up Thursday will be picked up Wednesday, November 23rd. Recycling collected Friday will be grabbed Saturday, November 26th.
And the Kearney Area Recycling Center will be closed Thursday and Friday, and reopen Monday the 28th. Kearney Area Solid Waste Agency Landfill will be closed Thursday and Friday, and reopen Saturday, the 26th.
