The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office and Kearney Police Department are launching a safety program to protect individuals prone to wandering or life-threatening behavior.
KPD and BCSO announced the implementation of the Project Life Saver Program. A non-profit program designed to protect and locate vulnerable members of the community, like those with Autism or Alzheimer’s, and bring them safely home.
This program was made possible thanks to a generous donation for equipment, training, and start up costs. Additional information and how a member of our community can enroll in the program will be available following the training.
