Governor Pete Ricketts has named the next senator for Legislative District 21.
According to KMTV, Beau Ballard was appointed to the position, who previously served as the legislative aide to Speaker Mike Hilgers.
Hilgers is vacating his seat, due to being elected to serve as Nebraska’s next Attorney General. The appointment will become effective starting January 4th of 2023
