The City of Holdrege has taken a well offline after nitrate contaminates were found above standard level Tuesday.
Two water samples were taken from the well December 7 and December 21.
The tests found nitrate levels at an average 13 milligrams per liter, three milligrams above the standard level of 10 milligrams.
The well has since been taken offline from the city water supply.
