A woman was killed in a fatal crash Wednesday afternoon outside of Grand Island.
According to Hall County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a crash at approximately 4:50 p.m. Wednesday at U.S. Highway 281 and Chapman Road in Hall County.
A preliminary investigation found that a westbound vehicle on Chapman Road, driven by Elaine Bishop, 82, failed to yield at the stop sign on Highway 281.
Bishop’s vehicle was then struck by a northbound vehicle driven by a juvenile female with a juvenile male passenger on Highway 281.
Bishop was transported to Saint Francis Medical center where she was later pronounced deceased.
Members of the Grand Island Fire Department and the St. Libory Rural Fire Department also responded to the scene
