On Tuesday, a semi-tractor struck a pickup near Betrand leaving the driver in critical condition.
According to a Phelps County Sheriff’s Office press release, a pickup driven by Frank Snyder stopped at a stop sign southbound on A Road.
The pickup pulled out to cross Highway 23 when an eastbound semi-tractor with a trailer struck the pickup.
The driver of the semi-tractor was uninjured.
Emergency responders transported Synder to Phelp’s Memorial in Holdrege. He was later airlifted to Good Samaritan in Kearney and was listed in critical condition Wednesday.
