Nebraska State Patrol troopers located 50,000 suspected fentanyl pills during a traffic stop.
According to the NSP, on Thursday January 13, a traffic stop was performed on an eastbound pickup for improperly passing a semi near Aurora on I-80.
During the stop, criminal activity was suspected.
A vehicle search revealed nearly 50,000 suspected fentanyl pills, weighing more than 11 pounds hidden inside the tailgate of the pickup. Additionally, small amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine were located.
The driver, Jesus Quinones, 27, and passenger Daniel Alvillar, 44, were both arrested for possession of controlled substances and possession with intent to deliver. Both were lodged in Hamilton County Jail.
