Troopers arrested two Colorado juveniles following a Monday night pursuit.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, on Monday at 9:35pm an eastbound Nissan Pathfinder was seen traveling at 35 miles per hour on I-80.
A trooper attempted a traffic stop near Kearney but the vehicle refused to yield and fled at a high rate of speed. A pursuit was initiated.
The Nissan reached speeds up to 100 miles per hour until another trooper successfully deployed stop sticks, slowing down the vehicle.
The vehicle exited I-80 through the Shelton interchange, driving northbound at a slow speed. A tactical vehicle intervention brought the suspect vehicle to a stop.
The driver, a 13-year-old girl and passenger 11-year-old boy, were taken into custody. A small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a firearm were recovered from the vehicle.
Both juveniles were placed in protective custody.
