SIOUX FALLS, SD – The Tri-City Storm defeated the Sioux Falls Stampede by a final score of 3-2 Sunday evening at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. Graham Gamache, Tanner Adams, and Dane Dowiak scored Tri-City’s goals in the victory. Sioux Falls scored twice during the 3rd period with an extra attacker on the ice, but was unable to force overtime. Cameron Korpi notched his sixth win of the season in goal for the Storm. Tri-City will return to action with back-to-back home games against the Waterloo Black Hawks on Friday, February 10th, and Saturday, February 11th.

Graham Gamache scored his thirteenth goal of the season with less than five minutes to play in Sunday’s opening period to give Tri-City a one-goal lead. The goal was netted on the powerplay, and was assisted by Kieran Cebrian. Each team recorded 14 shots on net in the 1stperiod, and the Storm carried a 1-0 lead into the 2nd period.

Tanner Adams scored his ninth goal of the year at 6:45 of the 2ndperiod to increase the Storm’s lead to two goals. The goal was netted at 6:45 of the period, and was assisted by Dane Dowiak and Jake Richard. The Storm outshot the Stampede 12-9 in Sunday’s 2nd period, and entered the 3rd period with a 2-0 lead in the matchup.

Dane Dowiak notched his sixth goal of the season less than two minutes into the 3rd period to give Tri-City a three-goal lead. The goal was assisted by Jake Richard and Sebastian Törnqvist. With less than ten minutes to play in the final period, Sioux Falls elected to pull goaltender Xavier Medina for an extra attacker. The Stampede scored twice with a six-on-five advantage to cut the Storm’s lead down to one goal. Clint Levens scored his fifth goal of the year at 11:54 of the period. The goal was assisted by Zack Sharp and Maddox Fleming. Christopher Pelosi scored for the sixth time this season with less than four minutes to play to bring the game to a 3-2 score. Evan Murr and Nick Ring assisted on the play. Sioux Falls failed to score for the third time with the net empty during the final seconds of Sunday’s 3rdperiod, and Tri-City skated away with a 3-2 road victory. Sioux Falls outshot Tri-City 14-7 in the 3rd period, and 37-33 overall in the matchup.

Cameron Korpi stopped 35 of Sioux Falls’ 37 shots on net to record the win in goal for the Storm. Xavier Medina dropped the game in net for the Stampede after making 30 saves on 33 shots.
