A Kearney man died in a single vehicle crash overnight Tuesday.
According to a news release, on Tuesday at 1:09 a.m. Kearney Police and Good Samaritan EMS responded to a crash at North Railroad Avenue and B Avenue in Kearney.
A preliminary investigation indicated an eastbound vehicle left the roadway and struck a power pole on the northeast corner of the intersection.
The driver, Michael L. Swalley, 31, was the lone occupant of the vehicle and transported to CHI Good Sam.
Swalley was later pronounced deceased due to injuries sustained from the crash.
Next of kin has been notified.
This crash remains under investigation, anyone with information is asked to contact the Kearney Police Department.
