Nebraska Daughter’s of the Revolution District 2 will be hosting an America 250! Patriot Marker ceremony at the Kearney Archway to honor America’s 250th anniversary.

The ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 11 at 2 p.m. in the Event Room at the Kearney Archway, 3060 E. 1st Ave.

It is one of four markers that the state will have, and the second one to be unveiled.

The marker reads:

Revolutionary War Patriots
This marker commemorates the men and women who achieved American independence.
These Patriots, believing in the noble cause of liberty, fought valiantly to found a new nation. 1775 – 1783
Presented by Nebraska Society
Daughters of the American Revolution
in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States.
