An electrical issue caused hazy smoke at a Hastings church Wednesday.
According to Hastings Fire and Rescue, firefighters responded to a report of a fire at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church in Hastings.
Firefighters detected the smell of burning wood and noted a haze of smoke in the church.
No active fire was found.
Further investigation found evidence of an electrical issue in the vaulted ceiling of the sanctuary.
An electrician is on-site to asses damage and repairs needed.
