The Bearcats (0-1) had no runs on one hit with five errors. The Titans (1-0) had fourteen runs on seven hits with one error.
Papillion-LaVista blasted two home runs from Brice Waller; his first a two-run homer in the first inning then belting a second shot for another three-run homer.
The Titan’s Xander Doble earned the win on the mound, striking out five Bearcats.
Kearney returns to action Tuesday afternoon, facing Papillion-LaVista as the Monarchs travel to Memorial Field. Pregame coverage on KGFW begins at 3:45 PM with first pitch at 4 PM.
