The national weather service and Nebraska Emergency Management Agency have announced March 27th Through 31st as Severe Weather Awareness Week in Nebraska.
A statewide tornado safety drill will be conducted on March 29th at 10 AM. Local outdoor warning sirens and weather radio alarms will be activated at the start of the drill.
Severe weather awareness week comes before the state’s traditional peak tornado months of May, June, and July.
